Surprise Baby Shower

My sweet sister-in-law through me a surprise baby shower while we were in Columbus!  My  Grandma Hileman and Aunt Sue even drove down from Michigan to come!  Thanks everyone for coming and a big thanks to Kristin for giving me a great shower!
Cute decor!

Lots of cute little gifts for a cute baby girl! :)

Can't wait to put these bows to good use!

I had an appointment today and baby girls head is finally down!  What a relief!  Hopefully she'll stay that way!  We had an ultrasound and they took measurement and told us she already weighs 5lbs 12oz...which is in the 69th percentile.  I'm really hoping that isn't correct since I still have over a month left...it would be nice if she was smaller than Logan was.  I'm crossing my fingers! :)  But other than that everything looks great!  I weighed in at 118lbs!  Pretty much the same as when I was pregnant with Logan.  I'm starting to get anxious for this little girl to get here!

Maternity Pictures

My friend Eva took some maternity pictures of me and here they are! There's quite a few and I love them! I just wish I would have had some taken when I was pregnant with Logan!
We can't wait to meet this sweet little girl!

I had a Dr's appointment last week and I passed my glucose test! Yeah! And I weighed in at 115lbs, total weight gain-33lbs. Baby girls heart rate was 158 and she is starting to turn, she's now diagonal, so her head is by my left hip and her tiny feet by my right ribs. At least she's making progress!

30 Weeks

Her little face. Nose and mouth

10 weeks to go. I failed my glucose test so that means I'll have to take a three hour test and be poked a few times. Boo! I had another ultrasound and the tech said my placenta looked good to go, which is good news, but also informed me that baby girl is VERY breech. She's straight up and down. So I'm not out of the woods of having a c-section. But she could turn anytime so I'm not going to be too worried about it. I think she'll turn, it's still early. I weighed in at 113 lbs, a total of 31 lbs gained. :)

Oh, did I mention that we only have these apartments until July 7th and then we're moving to Pittsburgh? And my due date is somewhere between July 9th-15th. Yup, that's right. Having this baby is going to be quite the adventure :)

23 week ultrasound

Well, we still have a little Girl! No added parts showed up on the ultrasound :) Haha This time she gave us some pretty good pictures, so no doubt about it, she's a girl! My placenta still hasn't moved but it hasn't gotten any worse. If everything stays the same I won't have to have a C-section, which I'm thankful for! Just thinking about having one makes me woozy! My Dr still wants me to have another ultrasound in 6 weeks to check it again. He said most likely it will go away and move up. Which means I need to find a Dr in Pittsburgh asap! Although I don't like the situation of having a low lying placenta, I do love being able to see our little girl! :)

Sucking her thumb!
Profile of her face
3D of her face. The tech tried to get some good pictures in 3D but the umbilical cord was in front of her and she didn't want to move very much.
They also wanted to make sure she was growing at the appropriate rate because she's about 6 days behind her due date. Which makes perfect sense to me because my Dr had just went off of my last period date and not when I ovulated. So it looks like my due date will be more around July 15th. I'm glad they caught it because I don't think there could be anything worse than seeing my due date come and go...

She's so different from Logan! She just lets me know she's in there and that's about it. If you start poking her she stops moving altogether. Greg is fascinated with poking, shining flashlights, and making noising on my stomach to try and get her to move...she however doesn't seem to like it very much. Her movements just seem more gentle. I know, I know, it's still early...but I'm kinda hoping for a more calm baby this time! Don't get me wrong, Logan is fantastic and I wouldn't change him for the world!

Our baby GIRL!

We had our ultrasound this morning! I can't tell you how excited and nervous I was! I know I've said this before but, being pregnant really stresses me out! It's so nerve racking not knowing if you're baby is going to be healthy or not. Greg is my rock in situations like this! He kept telling me everything would be ok and if something was wrong no matter what we would still love this baby unconditionally. Of course he's always right. :)

*While we were in the waiting room Greg asked Logan if he was going to have a baby brother and he said NO! Then Greg asked him if he was going to have a baby sister and he said YEAH! Oh little ones know so much more than we do ;)

At the ultrasound the tech checked all the "other things" before she looked at the baby and Greg asked her, "Do you know what it is yet?" But of course she didn't because she hadn't even looked at the baby yet. But this is the first thing we saw when she did start checking the baby...a cute little foot!

Everything looks great! She's nice and healthy and all her measurements are correct.
Here are a few profile views of her.

She was one shy little girl! It took some effort on the techs part to get this view!
Definitely not like her big brother, who showed us he was a boy the very first thing!
Here's a 3-D picture of her little face. They normally don't do 3-D so soon because they don't have very much fat on them but the tech was nice and did it anyways. We'll hopefully get to see more 3-D pictures when we go back in four weeks. I have what is known as a low lying placenta. They said it's not really anything to worry about and usually goes away but they still want to check it again.
We're really excited for this little girl to join our family! Logan will make a great big brother! We love her so much already! I can't stop thinking about what she's going to look like! Logan surprised me with how fair and blonde he is and I wonder if she's going to be the same way or have darker features like me! The possibilities are endless! Who knows, maybe she'll be a red head! Now if I can only decide what I want to sew for her first! :)

Baby Bump

18 weeks 4 days
Yup! Another baby bump post! I'm going to try keep myself updated just like I did when I was pregnant with Logan. So, at this weeks appointment I weighed 97 lbs for a total weight gain of 15 lbs. The baby's heart beat sounded strong and was 156. We scheduled our gender ultrasound for next Tuesday! We can't wait!

Greg is certain we're having another boy. I still haven't had any feelings about this baby's gender but I really just want a healthy baby! It would be great to have another boy because then Logan would have another Ruff and Tuff playmate :) And not to mention we have everything for another boy already. But on the other hand a girl would be great too! I would love to dress her up and make her wear bows as big as her head! Plus, Logan would be the perfect big brother for any little girl, did I mention he got kicked out of nursery for hitting! Naughty little boy! Anyways...I can't wait for Tuesday! Hooray!

Life as a pregnant woman...again

Wow! After we had Logan I always said I wanted our babies to be about 2 years apart and Ta-Da! They'll be 25 months apart. Sometimes I think, "Are we really having another baby already?" My Dr. ask me at our last appointment if I was ready for another baby and my immediate answer was "YES!" That's a good sign right? Ready or not this baby will be here by July!
This pregnancy is seriously kicking my butt! I don't think I've ever been so tired in my life! I don't remember being this sick or tired during my first pregnancy. My eating habits are definitely different too. With Logan I just wanted to eat what I call "Man Food" Burgers, Hot Dogs, and Pizza, and with this baby it's all about fruits, pasta, and a cup of noodles. I've never been a huge fan of a cup of noodles but this baby loves them! In the way back of my mind I keep thinking, "GROSS" but oh do they taste delicious!
I've noticed I'm getting bigger this time around faster but the funny thing is I can still button up some of my normal pants?! I must be carrying higher this time? I couldn't button up my pants after 8 weeks with Log.
So, if I had to guess I would say we're having a girl. Not that I've had any feelings about having a girl, I just think that because this pregnancy is so different from being pregnant with Logan. I knew we were having a boy with Logan and I had to convince Greg that he was a boy before we actually found out! Now this time around Greg thinks we're having another boy and I'm not so sure...we'll just have to wait and see! Only about 4 more weeks, so go vote in my poll and tell me if you think we're having a girl or another boy!

*I have been feeling this little tiny moving this week! No kicks just some movement! I love that feeling!
