Play-Doh and Oreo's

For this Mad Scientist experiment, we made play-doh.  Super easy and super duper fun!  Logan loved stirring, he thought he was pretty important, which of course he is a pretty big deal in our household!  Love that kid!

The final product!  He picked the color.

Love those chubby little hands!

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
Greg decided it would be fun to give Bella a WHOLE OREO...in our LIVING ROOM!  Hmmm...this mommy doesn't give Bella hardly any foods that are whole and I really don't like people eating anywhere but the kitchen!  However, this was just ridiculously adorable!  So of course I had to snap some pictures of her!
Thanks Daddy!  You're the best!

Yup!  She shoved that whole thing in her mouth and loved every minute of it!

Bubbles and Paint

Logan loves bubbles so I knew this would be right up his alley!  Blowing in straws to make bubble...pretty easy but it kept him entertained for a good hour!  It took him quite a few tries to figure out he had to take his lips away from the straw in between breaths or he would suck up the bubble solution!  It was hilarious to watch his surprised look as he took in a mouthful of suds and spit them out again!

The looks he's been giving the camera lately crack me up!
We had a Cinco De Mayo celebration at church and a few of the middle school Mexican Hat Dancers came and performed.  It was neat to watch and the kids really enjoyed it.

How fun would it be to dance with one of these dresses?!  Pretty awesome I think!

I've been trying to keep my Little's busy lately so thanks to pinterest AGAIN I found this idea.  Finger paints in ziplock bags taped to your windows.  It was pretty cool and they stayed on our windows for about week until I decided to let the kids actually use the paint inside them to paint with.
Hmmm...I guess Bella thought it might taste good...

Where do we go when it's hot?  The park of course!
Logan and his bubble sword!
Diane, Bella, Ryan, and Gina

Wow does this kid love playing sports!  I know I've said it before but man he's good!  This picture is of the ball coming back to us after Logan hit it!  He hardly ever misses hitting a ball and actually hit Greg right in the face with a great line drive!

I love this boy!
At the park they have water fountains and our kids loved them!

Love daddy and baby girl snuggle time

I let Bella and Logan have bubbles in tub yesterday.  It was a first for Miss Bella Boo.  She couldn't figure out what was on her hands and kept squishing them over and over again in her hands.

Mr. Young the mad scientist

I'm sure many of you have seen tons and tons of science experiments on pintrest.  Well this mom has decided to put some of those pins to good use.  At the Young house we're going to try and do at least one science experiment a week, scouts honor!  We started with a simple experiment first.  We blew up a balloon with vinegar and baking soda.

Things you will need:
Empty bottle
Balloon
Vinegar
Baking Soda
Funnels

First we filled the empty bottle about 1/3 of the way full
Next we used a funnel to fill the balloon with baking soda half way full
Very carefully put the balloon on the bottle neck without dumping any of the baking soda into the vinegar
Last by not least lift the balloon straight up so the baking soda dumps into the bottle and you may want to hold on to the balloon and bottle neck so the balloon doesn't come off.

Logan loved this!  We ended up doing it a few times but I eventually ran out of vinegar!  Looks like I'm going to be buying a BIG bottle of it soon!  There's going to be many more science projects in this house, just wait! :)

I loved all the smiles and WOWS that I got from doing this!
